The Shared Services Center (SSC) Payroll Team is made up of two key groups: Production and Tax. The Production Payroll team supports the unique needs of a higher education environment by ensuring all university employees are paid accurately and on time. We manage complex payroll processes tied to academic calendars, extended leaves, time and leave entries, and multiple pay schedules. Our responsibilities cover every aspect of payroll processing—including On Cycle, Off Cycle, and Time and Labor—and we work closely with other SSC teams and Institutional Practitioners to keep everything running smoothly and on schedule.
The Tax team within the SSC Payroll Department plays an essential role in supporting USG institutions by ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations. Our services include institutional tax filings, employee tax setup verification and corrections, and complete W-2/W-2c processing. By delivering accurate and efficient tax solutions, the Tax team helps institutions stay focused on their core mission of serving students and supporting faculty and staff.
