WHAT: Regents’ Celebration of Educational Excellence
USG Foundation Chair Neill Pruitt will present Gov. Nathan Deal with the Elridge McMillan Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his leadership to preserve the HOPE Scholarship program and championship of education innovations. Three accomplished alumni of the University System of Georgia will be named to the Regents’ Hall of Fame, and five exemplary USG faculty members will receive the Felton Jenkins, Jr. Hall of Fame Faculty award.

WHEN: Saturday, March 22, 2014
Chairman Pruitt and Chancellor Huckaby will deliver greetings at approximately 7:00 p.m. followed by the awards presentation and program.

WHY: The event raises significant funding for scholarships, recognizes distinguished faculty and alumni of the University System and honors an individual who has demonstrated extraordinary service to higher education in Georgia.
