Inclement Weather Procedures

Procedures for University System offices: Atlanta, ITS Athens, Georgia Public Library Service, Georgia Archives, Georgia Leadership Institute, Economic Development office.

  • The Board of Regents Inclement Weather Notification Service is now active. This service is available 24 hours/day - 7 days/week. If inclement weather requires a change to normal business operations, please dial 404-478-4000 for instructions. Updates will be placed on the service at 6:00 a.m. to advise of office closure, delayed openings or if the Board of Regents office are open for normal business operations.

  • Continued updates will be available via TV Channel 2 WSB, radio station WSB 750 AM and WSB 98.5 FM.

  • Athens employees please follow University of Georgia weather advisories at http://news.uga.edu/

  • If the Governor’s office issues a closure for all state offices, the Board of Regents office will be closed as well.

  • In the event of closure, an email notification will be sent to all BOR employees.
