Admission to the USG Colleges & Universities
Information for High School Counselors
The USG undergraduate admission requirements have been established to ensure students have the preparation to succeed in college. The Board of Regents (BOR) undergraduate admission policies set the minimum admission requirements for the different sectors, or types, of USG institutions (State Colleges, State Universities, Comprehensive Universities, and Research Universities). In addition to the minimum requirements established by the BOR, the USG colleges and universities may have additional requirements. Students are encouraged to contact the Admissions Office for their college or university of interest to learn more about their admission requirements, necessary documentation, and pertinent deadlines.
All students applying to pay at the in-state tuition rate or applying for admission to an institution which, for the two most recent academic years, did not admit all academically qualified applicants (except for cases in which applicants were rejected for non-academic reasons), must be verified to be lawfully present in the United States.
Board Policy 4.8.2 requires all new students wishing to enroll in a USG college or university meet immunization requirements. A certificate of immunization will need to be completed and signed by their health care provider and returned to their college or university.
