3.8.3 Nexus Degrees

Nexus degrees are comprised of 42 hours of general education and 18 credit hours of specialty requirements that consist of 12 credit hours of upper division courses (e.g. 3000-4000) and 6 credit hours of substantive experiential learning. The substantive experiential learning must have significant emphasis on developing competencies and capabilities in a strategic career field aligned to the talent demand areas and needs of the state of Georgia. Nexus degrees are subject to Board of Regents and USG policies on comprehensive program review and all applicable accreditation standards for a distinct program of study.
