WHAT: Regents Awards for Excellence in Education Celebration
Chick-fil-A founder S. Truett Cathy will receive the Elridge McMillan Lifetime Achievement Award for his outstanding service in supporting the success of Georgia’s youths through scholarships. Three accomplished alumni of the University System of Georgia, will be recognized, along with four exemplary USG faculty members and a stellar USG Customer Service Champion. Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle and Chancellor Erroll B. Davis Jr. will deliver greetings, as will Regent Donald M. Leebern Jr., chairman of the USG Foundation.
WHEN: Saturday, March 20, 2010
Leebern, the chancellor and the lieutenant governor will deliver greetings at approximately 7:45 p.m., followed by dinner. The awards will be announced after dinner, at approximately 9 p.m.
