Atlanta — March 22, 2011

The Chancellor Search Committee met in early March and interviewed multiple candidates from around the nation. The holding of these interviews completes the work of the search committee, and all further search efforts will be conducted by the full Board of Regents.

The Board of Regents will interview in mid April three of the candidates identified and interviewed by the search committee.

Following these interviews, the board will announce a list of up to three finalists for the chancellor position.

By law, beginning 14 days from the announcement of finalists, the board will be able to meet and vote on a new chancellor.

During the 14 day period, individuals can either write opinions anonymously into the University System “Chancellor Search” website or send comments to Angelia Thomas: Angelia.Thomas@usg.edu
