University System of Georgia Chancellor Thomas C. Meredith is issuing the following statement in response to the Resolution adopted today by the University of Georgia Foundation:

“My compliments to the University of Georgia Foundation for producing a positive solution to the question of supplemental compensation,” Chancellor Meredith stated. “Their resolution appropriately recognizes the roles of the Board of Regents and the University of Georgia Foundation.

“This is an encouraging step forward,” Meredith added. “It is now imperative for all involved to turn their full attention to the support of this great university and its capital campaign.”
