Last spring the Georgia State Office of Organizational Development and Consulting Services partnered with their Staff Council for the first Annual Knowledge Sharing Day (KSD). This year’s theme was in honor of Dr. Seuss – Oh, the Places You’ll Go! KSD provided a platform for the 2014 Staff Development Fund recipients to share what they learned. Some staff members traveled abroad to the UK while others obtained certifications.
During the spring 2014 semester, Georgia State University piloted a grant program for staff training and professional development in areas of strategic institutional importance. The Staff Training and Development Fund (STDF) provides two categories of support for training and development. Priority is given to training/development programs that strongly support the goals of the university Strategic Plan and that have the broadest possible impact. The STDF program is administered by the university Human Resources Department in collaboration with the GSU Staff Council. For more information on Knowledge Sharing Day at GSU click here:
