Masks and face shields provide additional protection for tasks that may generate splashes, spray, spatter, or droplets of blood or other potentially infectious materials, and eye, nose, or mouth contamination can be reasonably anticipated. Masks and face shields are not a substitute for eye protection, and must be used in combination with suitable eye protection.
